This is the camera and tripod that I would have used for filming.
This it the computer which I used for the posters, magazine front covers and for the trailer. The picture on the screen is the character introductions in the trailer.
This is a picture of me editing the picture of Harry. The photo shop effect that I am applying to the picture of Harry is a slight fade.I used a website called pyzam to find The Godfather layout that I have got on my blog. I did this because I thought it made the blog look more attractive and it fitted well with the gangster layout.
This is a picture of the mac computers that I have used for the trailer.
This is a picture of my using the imovies to make my film trailer.
These are the different sights that I have for my media work. Without using these sights I wouldn't have been able to have made any for my media work as effective as it is now.

Film Trailer
I have uploaded my film trailer and I am pleased with the way it has come out. The only thing that isn't as good as I hoped is the lighting because it is a lot darker than on the mac computers. I also made a DVD copy and they were a lot brighter than the way the trailer has come out on the blog. When you put the trailer onto full screen it is also not as clear as it was on both the mac's and the DVD.

Editing
I have edited the way the card game was shown because it was quite slow paced and dragged on a bit compared to the fast paced start. I do still have it taking up a proportion of the time because it shows the importance of the game. By changing the way the card game has been structured has made it feel faster paced and therefore more exciting.

Editing
Today I finished the character editing. I was origionally going to have all the characters with a red background but I tested it out with different coloured backgrounds and I thought it looked a lot better with different colours. I have kept Sal and Carl the same colour because they are supposed to be the main people. I have also added them all back into the film trailer and it looks realy good.

changes
I had to make some changes to my magazine front cover, all collectors addition front covers and poster because they had pictures on that I was not allowed to have. I origionally had the Empire logo on my magazine front cover. I only recently found out that I was not allowed to have it on so I made my own magazine title called Filmic. I also had SKA films logo on my poster which I had to take off as well.

collectors addition

Here are the ones I have made. I put the two main characters in different colours for the background so they stand out form the people.

poster

The second step was to get the title finished. I then decided to make the people in black and white to give the effect that they are the villains. Also having them in the black part of the background highlights this.

I then added the final pictures and decided to keep the two main people in colour to highlight the fact that they are the people that you are supposed to like.

magazine cover
The magazine that I have decided to base my magazine front cover on is Empire. I have chosen Empire because they have they style that I am going for in my front cover. they have used the three colour rule very effectively with the red white and black. these aer the three colours that I am planning to use. The colours used in these two covers make very effective and eye catching front covers. I think that the three colours work well and fit in with the gangster theme. the positioning of the camera is a low angle shot to make the people look more powerful. this helps transmit the narrative to the audience because they can see they they are powerful people who look aggressive. gangster films sometimes also have the actors holding guns to highlight this point. We usually only see a few of the main people in the American compared to the British Gangster films having a lot of people from little gangs. There is a gender bias towards males because males are shown mainly because they are more associated with guns and violence. also males have a better visual effect because they are bigger and more muscular so you think that you wouldn't want to mess with them where as you wouldn't be as scared if it were to be a women.
